Lazy Weekend

WOW its Tuesday already.....LOL We had a lazy weekend. Friday night Blaine and his buddy Chris had boys night out and went to Dooley's for a few games of pool. I put the girlies to bed and enjoyed a nice quiet evening alone. I got to hold the remote and got to watch my shows. LOL You know shows that Blaine won't watch with me, or won't let me watch because his shows are on....lol. I watched TLC the entire evening Ha!

Saturday I cleaned, and put up new living room curtains, the girls played, Blaine helped clean and that is about all we did that day.

Sunday we had a very lazy day. Sunday afternoon Blaine took my sister Chandler to her Hockey game in Belfast and took our girls along for the ride and to watch the game. I took advantage of an empty house to finally paint my kitchen. It looks great! What a difference! I will post the before and after pics in my next post.

How was your weekend?

Wednesday Wing & Hockey Night

Every Wednesday since we moved here we go to the town rink (Three Rivers Sportslex) to watch my dad play hockey and for the wings. The wings are really, really good. It started out just my mom, Blaine and myself, now its us 3 usually 2 of my aunts ( my dad's sisters) and another family friend. We sit and talk eat wings and watch hockey. I love it! And we really look forward to it. Next Wednesday is the last wing night of the season :( , I guess we are going to have to find a new activity for Wednesday nights.

2 weeks ago I started at a cardio class here in town. It is 3 nights a week (mon, wed, fri) at the United Church Hall. The lady that teaches it charges $40 and all money goes to the church. She lost almost 100 pounds by doing Turbo Jam, and Turbo Jam is what the class is. And let me tell you what a work out! I get weighed and measured Friday night for the 2nd time since I started the class....I will let you know how it goes (maybe) Ha! I am giving my self a year to get to my goal weight of 150 pounds ( that's what I weighed in High school) and my reward/motivation for getting to my goal weight is.....a trip down south!!! Blaine and I never went on a honeymoon after we got married, so this is going to like a honeymoon for us....except that we are going with my parents Ha! but that's okay we will have separate rooms. :)

So right now I know y'all are saying wings and turbo jam?!?.... LOL well Wednesday night is my treat night. Its the one night a week that I can eat what I want....so I choose WINGS! After next week I might have to convert to pizza night Ha!

What a day!

Poor Keilee! She had a horrible day today. It was one of those days that she just didn't listen to a thing I said. She was on time-out probably 5 times ( and I am sure 4 out of the 5 times was for the same thing). As I was making supper she was playing with the other 2 girls and all of a sudden Keilee comes to me crying. It was the 'I am crying but no sound is coming out because I am really hurt' cry. I asked her what was wrong but she just couldn't get the words out, but she was holding her cheek. I got her to move her hand and there was a scratch and a blue line ( the blue line was a bruise that was all ready forming and a little raised), I asked Raven & River if they had seen what happened and of course they said they seen nothing (really?) ha! When Keilee finally caught her breath and calmed down she told me what happened. " Me fall by bunk bed, and hurt my cheek" so I put a band aide on her cheek ( only because she wanted one....lol) and I went back to making supper and she went back to playing. About 10 minutes later Keilee comes to me crying again, this time she has a fat lip and a bloody nose. I scoop her up and start to wipe away the blood and console her. Again I ask the 2 older girls if they seen what happened, and again they did not. Keilee once she was settled down tells me that she was dancing and tripped over a toy on the floor and fell into the wall face first. My poor baby!!! I can just imagine what her poor little face is going to look like tomorrow.
Before all this I did get some good buys on eBay.
I got 3 of this dress, one for each of the girls.

And this one I could only get in River's size. But I thought it was so cute...

I love dressing my girls in sundresses in the summer time. And they all love to wear them. I was really happy with the 3 matching dresses. We are planning on having a professional family picture taken this summer, and I think those dresses will be perfect. I love eBay!

No School again today...

This has been such a bad winter. We moved here the first week in January and there has not been a week yet that school has not been cancelled at least one day. Today school is cancelled because of freezing rain.

I can't wait for spring, warm weather, green grass and the kids playing outside. Today we are of course spending the day indoors. The girls are coloring and I am getting caught up on laundry.

Even the doggies are wishing for nicer weather

Woody looking out the window dreaming of sunny weather...

Yuck! Slushy snow and puddles....

This is looking out the front door... see the icicles hanging from the roof

And this is me...dreaming about warmer weather... see the painting of the tulips behind me

I so can't wait for real tulips to be popping up everywhere...

Being a Mom...I Love this

My friend Kristene gave me a copy of this poem after my 2nd daughter River was born. I came across it today and thought I would post it on here. I Love it, and it is so true!

Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.

I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.

I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.

I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots.

I never looked into teary eyes and cried.

I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.

I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.

I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.

I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.

I never knew that I could love someone so much.

I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.

I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.

I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.

I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom, I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.

I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.

I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom .
