Today is such a mixed up day....weather wise that is. I got up this morning with the intention of taking the kids to the beach this afternoon, but the weather is just plain wacky. One minute its warm and the sun is shining, the next minute its raining, dark and cold! But that's Atlantic Canada for you, ha! I also wanted to get some laundry washed and then hang it out on the line to dry...I decided against that also. SO instead, I got all my housework caught up ( with the exception of laundry, of course) and I even cleaned out the kids dressers and got rid of all the clothes that was either too small, stained or stuff that they just didn't wear. That will help cut down on my laundry! LOL. My dad was happy when I brought a garbage bag of kids clothes ( rags) out to the garage for him. He works on small engines (aka lawnmowers, snow blowers, etc) as a hobby (or obsession..lol).
I did make it to the gym this morning, this is my 3rd week of being "back" at the gym. When we moved here in January I transferred my membership from Curves for Women to the one here in Montague. But I just haven't been faithful in going, until now. I already have noticed an increase in energy, which is fantastic!! And in the last 2 weeks I have lost 3 pounds!
My sister Peggy ( she is #2 out of the 5 of us, I am #1) and her other half, Ryan and My Maria ( Peggy's 2 yr old) are on their way across Canada! They are moving here from Yellowknife, NWT. Peggy is also due to have a baby July 15!!! So I am very excited for them to get here!
Out of all my sisters, I don't have favorites, but Peggy I am closest with. When Blaine was sick, and going thru Chemo, Peggy was on maternity leave with Maria, she packed up and came all the way from Yellowknife to Nova Scotia and stayed with us for 6 months. And I honestly couldn't have done it without her. We had no family there and not many close friends. I had no worries about who would or was looking after my kids while I took Blaine to the hospital on his Chemo days, or when he was in the hospital for lung infections. And its funny because when we were growing up Peggy and I did not get along at all! We couldn't stand to be in the same room as each other. Now she is one of my best friends.
This is a picture taken last October, in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. This is the cross at the Mt. Patricia Cemetry. At night the cross is lit up and you can see it for miles. I was just looking thru pictures from 2008 and came across it and thought I would share.
Wow you have gotten a lot done. We have not had rain in a while and it is quite hot. I really need to work out but fell on the stairs and have a high ankle sprain so I have a boot to wear and the doctor said not to even walk on it...
